The Kenneth B. Scott Scholarship Fund was initiated in 2013 to recognize the dedicated efforts of PGP Ken Scott. It is funded by donations from OES chapters, members of the 2009 Grand Family, and friends of Ken Scott. Ken served as Worthy Grand Patron with WGM Peg Reiterman in 2009.
Ken Scott is a senior DeMolay and Past Master Councilor, a Past Master of New England Lodge #4 in Worthington, and has served several times a Worthy Patron of Worthington Chapter #287, OES. His three sons are senior DeMolays and his three daughters were all active in Rainbow at the state level, including Past Grand Worthy Advisor (Crissy Scott Willeke,1990-91).
A $1,000 scholarship is available to a member of each of the Masonic Youth Groups – DeMolay, Rainbow, and Job’s Daughters.

In addition to the application form, candidates are asked to PREPARE AN ESSAY (maximum 300 words) explaining EXPERIENCES IN HIS/HER MASONIC YOUTH ORGANIZATION, ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOL, CAREER GOALS, JOB EXPERIENCE AND FINANCIAL NEED. A one-page biographical resume also may be submitted.

The selection committee will evaluate applications on the basis of (1) participation in the activities of their respective Masonic youth group; (2) academic excellence, and (3) financial need.
