Message from the COA – Update 5.11.2021

Sisters and Brothers,
I understand there have been some questions concerning Grand Chapter. I want to let everyone know that Grand Chapter is a GO! My committees and I have been working very hard to get things together and get the materials sent out. I understand people are anxious and want their packets and we should have them together by June 1st if not before. Please understand that we were not able to put anything together before April 1st because of the COVID restrictions. So we began working very hard to get things together. Each week the restrictions open up more and more. Hopefully by September we will have a normal Grand Chapter. Right now we are very close to that. Currently we can have a little more than 1,000 people attend, we can have a little more than 550 people at the Grand Banquet, we can have 10 people sit at a table together. We are planning on having vendors. We are planning for all the breakfast, luncheons, and dinners we’ve had in the past. We are planning to have the Ritual Competition. Things right now are really close to being normal.
The restrictions that are still in place currently are that everyone attending must wear a mask inside. We can have 10 people sit together with a 6 foot separation between them whether they are at a meal or in the chapter room.

I hope this helps and answers some of the questions that are out there.

To the officers and members of Ohio Eastern Star,
We have have been preparing for the “Forward in Faith” session to be held in Sharonville on September 24-26. We have had some bumps in the road due to Covid.
Due to this we are having to delay registration, meal order forms, and hotel reservations because of the current guidelines set by the Governor of Ohio. The restrictions in Hamilton County make it difficult to plan for events taking place later in the year.  Due to these restrictions, the convention center cannot move forward on planning our event. If we want to plan and work on details now, we have to do so within the limitations that are currently in place. After some discussion, we have chosen to delay this process hoping that some of the restrictions will be lifted in the near future. We ask for your patience as we work through this process. We will get you the information as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and know we are working hard to have a great Grand Chapter that is as much back to normal as possible.
